      Afeni Shakur, an activist with the Black Panther Party, gives birth to her first son, Lesane Parish Crooks, in East Harlem, New York.

      She would change his name to Tupac Amaru Shakur shortly after.

2. 1. Tupac makes his acting debut in a local theatre production of A Raisin in the Sun.
